My piece “Their shadow, my tether” is on view in this exhibition in Chicago Heights.
“Union Street Gallery and the Surface Design Association (SDA) Illinois Chapter celebrate artwork that pushes the evolution of fiber, art, and design using color and design processes and meanings. This selection of works focuses on the theme of transparency, a characteristic that allows light or information to pass through without distortion or obstruction. In various contexts, transparency embodies honesty, visibility, and accessibility. This exhibition will be open from September 12th through October 5th, 2024. Artworks on display will include but are not limited to, quilting, macrame, embroidery, printing, crochet, knitting, felting, paper, weaving, surface design, and basketry all relating to the theme of transparency.”
See you at the closing on October 5th, 1-4pm!
